refund error

I am requesting to refund my domain of 500daysofemily.com because the name shows up as 500daysofemilydotcom.wordpress.com in the browser and that’s not what I expected when I paid for it. When I tried to confirm the cancellation in the email I received it said an error occurred while refunding my update and that I should contact support.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Emily,

The refund is reporting as processed on my end so you’ll be able to see it in your PayPal account shortly if you don’t already.

If you purchase a domain in the future, you can visit the Store->Domain name page to set if you want your WordPress.com address or your custom domain as the “Primary Domain” to appear in a visitor’s address bar.

By default, we leave the WordPress.com address for a short time after purchase since it can take a little time for the new domain’s registration information to be updated Internet-wide.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else. Hope you had a great weekend.
