Refund for an upgrade that I did not want

I purchased my domain on hostgator.com and am using the domain I purchased through them on wordpress. I just got charged $99 for an upgrade and I don’t know why. I got the email and tried to cancel it but it was too late, wordpress already charged me. How do I get a refund. And why is there no phone number to contact wordpress?!?!

There is no phone number because there is nobody paid to answer the phone.
To get a refund go to your dashboard Store page and click Refund on the upgrade bundle.

Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and disable auto-renew there as well.

Also, I went to my Dashboard>Store
and there is no option for refund on the upgrade bundle. -
You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased the upgrade to claim a refund. I’d like to keep http://brittanywinphotography.com but I have no use for brittanywinphotographydotcom.wordpress.com.

You need to pay $13 a year for domain mapping if you want to use the website hosted by WordPress.com instead of one hosted by hostgator. If you want to use the hostgator hosted site, then what’s the point of any WP.com blog, much less buying upgrades for it?

I have voided the Premium upgrade so you will not be charged. It will be at most a pending charge on your statement and disappear shortly.
As for the domain mapping, @raincoaster is correct. You will need a domain mapping to use your domain (registered elsewhere) to work with your WordPress.com site. Take a look at the guide below for more information:
