Refund for custom domain – it doesn't work in China
-
I would like a refund for custom domain for fic2a.wordpress.com (the domain was FoxIntercultural.com), because it only changes the html URLs, not the image URLs. WordPress.com URLs are blocked in China so, even with the custom domain, images are blocked.

If we cancel the domain, it can take up to several weeks, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be available to you again once canceled.
If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it.
Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

If you don’t want this domain at all, you can cancel it for a full refund if you purchased it within the last two days.
To cancel the domain, go to Store > Domains in your dashboard. Locate the domain you want to cancel in the list, and click on the Cancel button next to it.
This cannot be undone, so please follow the on-screen instructions carefully before you confirm the cancellation.

Thank you for the information!
We actually registered the domain elsewhere; I should have been more specific that we were looking for a refund of the domain mapping add-on.
Based on your instructions, I just discovered the “Cancel and Refund” link.
I still recommend that the domain mapping add-on have a clear indication that it only affects the HTML URLs, not images. I’ll bet there are others who are using custom domains for sites while their images are blocked in China, and perhaps elsewhere.
In any case, I’ll close this thread. Thanks, again.

However, after cancelling, I received this message:
“You will not receive a refund of the cost of this domain as it was purchased more than 3 days ago or there was a problem finding your payment. Please contact support if you have any queries about this cancellation.”
It took more than 3 days to build the site and then test it in China, where the images were all broken.
Could you please issue the refund?

I have canceled and refunded your domain mapping as requested.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
