Refund for domain renewal
-
Hi,
I had an auto-renewed domain that went through on Dec 22, 2015. I did NOT want the renewal so as soon as I got the email I went to the WordPress site and requested a cancellation. I was happy to see that it said I would be refunded since it was less than 48 hours since the renewal went through. I checked and verified that the domain was turned off.
Now I’m checking my credit card and I see that the charge was not refunded after all, and of course it has now been well more than 48 hours.
There is clearly a flaw (maybe a software bug?) in the renewal cancellation process. Will WordPress be able to honor the refund that I requested and was confirmed on the website in December? If not, I suppose I’ll have to go to the credit card company to request a chargeback.
Thanks!

Hello there,
To address any and all billing issues like this one we can click https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ and we can also use this form (which works even when the main contact form is closed): http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?whywasi=charged
Note: Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products too likes Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to a the registered email address for each username account so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you.

Hi there,
I see Melanie has already replied to you via email and your refund has been issued. It should appear in your account within a few days.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.
