Refund for domain renewal after paypal dispute

  • Unknown's avatar

I had an automatic charge made on my paypal account for a domain renewal. I did not authorize the payment so I disputed it through paypal. Shortly after, I received an email from wordpress asking me to cancel the dispute if I wanted a refund so a $20 fine can be avoided. I cancelled the dispute and don’t know how to proceed to get the refund directly from wordpress.

    Hello,

The dispute doesn’t appear to have been resolved yet. Please login to the PayPal Resolution Centre and double check the status of the dispute. If it still unresolved, you will need to contact PayPal directly to close it. Until that point, there isn’t anything we can do from our side.

In the meantime, there is more information about chargebacks and disputes here:

Let me know how you get on.

Hi there. Thank you for replying.

I have contacted PayPal and the dispute was cancelled. What is the next step to have the refund sent to my account?

    Hello,

What is the next step to have the refund sent to my account?

Thanks for cancelling the dispute. Your payment was refunded on 22-Feb-2017.

Refunds usually take about a week to process and show up on your statement. You can view, print or email yourself a copy of the refund receipt from your Billing History here:
