Refund for registration
-
Hi there,
I heard there’s a 48 hour grace period for registering a domain? I got mixed up in the difference between wordpress.org and wordpress.com and would rather put the money towards a 3rd party hosting. AKA, a refund.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The refund policy states this:
Refunds
We want you to love everything you do at WordPress.com, so we provide a 30-day refund on all of our upgrades except Domain Registrations and Domain Renewals. You can request the refund yourself directly from your Dashboard. -
You can cancel your domain registration if you let us know within 48 hours of the purchase. Please note the domain may not be available for a while (~ 1 month) for purchasing from another registrar if you decide to cancel.
Otherwise, you can wait for 60 days then transfer the domain to a different registrar if you do not want to wait. In that case, many registrars honor the expiration date and add another year to your domain registration. This means the money that you have already paid for one year of domain registration is not wasted.
I sent you an email about this – please respond and let us know how you want to proceed, or feel free to ask more questions.
