Refund for renewal

    Hi, I received an email on October 20th that my website apoliticiansdaughter.com would expire in 30 days. So, I have until Nov 20 to cancel this domain. However on the very same day I got a receipt and charge from my account for the domain renewal?

    I want this domain cancelled and the funds refunded back to me ASAP.

    I’d like to explain what happened. By default, domains on WordPress.com are set to auto-renew to ensure continuity for our users and prevent any unintentional loss of domains due to payment issues. When auto-renewal is enabled, we process the renewal payment a month in advance of the expiration date, which is why you received the charge on October 20th.

    However, since you mentioned that you no longer wish to keep the domain, I’ve gone ahead and canceled it for you. A refund for the domain renewal has been issued, and you should see it reflected in your account within 10 business days.
