Refund for Year of Premium
-
I currently host a blog here. I am thinking of switching to a different host so I can install third party plugins.
I paid for the entire year upfront. Is it possible to refund part of the payment I made? Prorate it in some way?
Thank you!

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
See here:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

as well as
Dashboard > Store > Billing History

Ok thank you. I am outside the 30 day refund period so I didn’t know if a prorated refund was possible. Thanks.

I do not believe it is possible but please be patient while waiting for a Staff response.

Hi Sarah,
Sorry, but we do not offer refunds, even pro-rated ones, after that 30-day refund period.
You may want to disable the auto-renew for your Premium plans here:
https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades
If you’d like, I can separate the premium plans from the domain registrations so you can keep the domain set to auto-renew. Or you can transfer the domains to another registrar.
