Refund needed: Charged twice for domain
-
Hi All,
I had a free WordPress.com account with a purchased domain: paintedashley.com. I just paid $26 last month to renew that domain for 12 months.
Last week, however, I decided to upgrade from a free account to a premium account, and I am dissatisfied with the premium services. WordPress says you’re able to cancel and be refunded within 30 days, but here’s my problem: they’re only going to refund $53—they won’t give me back the $26 for my domain.
I purchased my domain for $26, then spent $79 for premium. If they do not refund my full $79, I’m essentially paying for my domain twice, and that’s unacceptable. How can I contact WordPress staff for help?
Thanks

Hi there,
I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. They will rectify the billing for you. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it. -
P.S. If you do not wish to retain the domain and use it on another site then please state that here clearly so Staff know what you want to do with it.

Thank you, timethief. On my sidebar it says “Unsubscribe from Topic,” so it looks as though I’m already subscribed.
I do want to keep my domain. I also want refunded in full the $79 I spent last week on a premium account.
Since I renewed my domain last month, I believe staff should find it reasonable that I retain it and receive my money. While the premium account does include a free domain, I’d already paid for mine.
