REFUND Not pleased with the experience

Everything about this 2nd blog is different. It feels as if the process was made so much more difficult. Earlier this year I purchased a blog and love it. When I log on the dashboard is visible and easy to see/navigate, the posting is simple and clean. No I see a ton of “shortcuts” but they don’t come close to what I am accustomed to. The process feels frustrating. Perhaps I was looking to duplicate what I had — and enjoyed. This process is not user friendly and too dramatically different from what I experienced when I signed on in Jan. of this year. I would like a refund.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi mbrizzw2,

I’m so sorry to hear you’re frustrated with your new blog.

If you’d like to give us another chance, I’d very much like to assist you and help you use WordPress.com. Can you explain what you are trying to do, so I can help you get things set up the way you want?

If you’re certain you want a refund, I’d be happy to issue it for you, but I’d like a chance to help sort things out first. If you do want a refund, let me know if you wish for me to also cancel your domain, as once it’s canceled it will take some time for the registrar to release it, and in some cases it is not available to register again. If you want to keep the domain and use it elsewhere, I can refund the difference and send you further details on how to point it to another hosting provider.

Please let me know which you prefer.

Just saw the note and yes I am now responding using the link. Here is the challenge. I have a blog with its own email (email visible only to moderators and staff) and its own domain brooklynlegends.com.

I originally thought of linking both blogs and added the name Brooklyn Legends the Year in Review and Brooklyn Legions – Year in Review (no The) to my first blog. However once I read that if I did combine or add the new one, it might then replace the current one. Since I did not want that I decided to “start” new. One glitch though is I seem to be unable to unlink the two additional names from my primary blog.

But for now I have two blogs with two separate user names and passwords so each would have a separate identity.

When I go to my desktop and log into WordPress, I do not have the same platform as the first. What I see is different. There is no dashboard or any of the other features. It’s almost as if I. Am in quick press mode. Am not sure at this point if I should delete and begin again. Or, if the attachment to the first blog is the issue. This is the experience using the pc and iPad.

    Hi there,

It sounds like the first issue here is that your new account fell into our small test group where we have been trying out different views for new user accounts. I’m very sorry for the frustration that caused, and I have sent you an email with a link that should resolve that issue.

Having said that, do you wish for both of your blogs to be under a single account? If so, which account?

Once you resolve the Dashboard issue, if you wish to merge both blogs under a single WordPress.com account, you can do so by moving one of them to your other user account following the instructions here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Alternately, if you can post in this thread from the other account to verify ownership, and let me know which account should “own” both blogs, I can sort that out for you.
