Refund not processed since 29 August 2018

    I have asked via Live Chat on a refund – and that it would take about a month. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REFUND YET!!!! And as I can’t CHAT or EMAIL I do not know where to go. Any advice would be helpful!

  • Hi @fixiedustmy, can you check with your bank on this? I can see you cancelled your upgrade minutes after you purchased it. With the same-day cancellations, the charge will often just be removed or voided rather than refunded. Depending on how your bank displays that, it may not show up on your statement at all.

    Hello, last I spoke to your customer service consultant she mentioned that it would take a month rather than what you have quoted. It has not been put back in or ‘canceled’ from my banks side as they are waiting for your end.

    So yes, I do need more help. Thanks!

  • I see. Well, we can look at that for you if you’d like. Charges that were fully funded then refunded can take a few days or longer, depending on routing. But in my experience it typically just voids when you cancel immediately. Can you confirm whether you have asked your bank?

    Yes, they mentioned they couldn’t find a refund transaction for WordPress or an amount that matches the amount charged – being refunded. Do you have another company name it could be under?

  • Hi there,

    On your Billings page (https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing), you can find the refund receipt. That receipt has a transaction ID that you can give to your bank to help them locate the funds.

    it did not, but nevermind. I will just leave it – this is too much of a hassle, but sure will not be getting another account here.
