Refund of cancelled Payment
-
Instantly after upgrading to the Personal Plan I cancelled the transaction, as the services of the plan do not coincide with my interests.
Although a full refund was assured, the payment for the plan was drawn from my account today.
Just to prevent misunderstandings, I want to make sure that the cancellation worked out. Does the refund take place with a second transaction onto my account or was the cancellation not registerered?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Although things can happen instantly on the Interweb, banking still happens in real-time and this support document https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ says:
You will be refunded to the same payment method you used for your purchase. After processing, refunds usually take about a week to appear on your statement. For credit card refunds, it may take 5-7 business days to appear on your online bank account or in 1-2 billing statements.

Hi there,
I can confirm your refund was issued. You can also see a receipt with a transaction reference from our payment processor in your billing history here:

But it won’t show in your statement again until your bank finishes processing the refund which, as @themagicrobot pointed out already, typically takes about 10 business days; longer if you’re at a non-US bank.
