Refund on Pro Bundle >30 days Out

  Hi,

  I started planning a blog in mid-October, and purchased/did the following:

  (1) Set up free blog on WordPress.com and purchased Pro Bundle
  (2) Purchased domain and hosting through Dream Host
  (3) Installed WordPress (.org I recently learned) onto my website through Dream Host

  I’m going through the setup process now (had some personal conflicts arise between October and now that prevented me from working on the site), and just realized the mistake I made – that is, not realizing that WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate entities.

  I’m not sure if this is even possible, but I really don’t need my account on WordPress.com, the blog I created, or the Pro Bundle I purchased. As I have self-hosting, everything will go through my domain, vs. my .wordpress.com domain. Any chance I could receive a refund for that purchase? If you look through the account and the blog, you’ll see I haven’t utilized the services at all.

  Hi there,

  That really is no problem for us! I’d be happy to help you with this.

  I just have a few questions. It looks like you just registered a domain with your WordPress.com blog (enfinitx.com) two days ago. Do you want the mapping for this domain removed from your WordPress.com blog? It will not affect your WordPress.org blog, but if you’re also using that domain with WordPress.org, you will have to have it removed from your WordPress.com blog – just an FYI. Additionally, it looks like your value bundle is associated with that WordPress.com blog – and I’ll be happy to refund that once you just give me the go-ahead that this is the correct blog.

  Thanks so much for your help!

  Yes, I did register (map) that domain – was still confused about the linking (or rather, lack of linking) between WP.com and WP.org. I’d like to remove any mapping between the two at all.

  Going forward I’ll be using Enfinitx.com via WP.org and self-hosting, so I can remove all content and bundles from the WP.com account (aka enfinitx.wordpress.com). Does that sound good?

  Ok! You should be all set! It will take up to 7 days for your refund to reappear on your statement. It usually takes less, though.
