refund or edit wrong domain purchase?

  I purchased the wrong domain. I intended to use one I had already purchased from godaddy and misremembered what it was. So now I have a domain I can’t use. Is there a way I can refund or change this? Or do I have to just purchase the right one also and ignore the first?

  You can request a domain purchase within 48 hours of your time of purchase. To request a refund on the wrong domain see here:
  https://wordpress.com/purchases

  If you are eligible for a refund, it will take 7 days or longer once you request the refund for it to be posted in your account.
