Refund problem
-
My inactive domain was auto renewed. I did not know about the auto renewal and was on vacation without internet access when this happened, so I was surprised to suddenly see an expensive bill. No help seems available to cancel and refund this. It’s a lot of money for an inactive domain and it seems very poor service if WordPress “auto renews” such domains without allowing a refund! Please help.

Hi, I’ve tagged this thread so a staff member can take a look at this issue for you. Hold tight as they tend to have a lot of help requests and work through the posts from the oldest firsts. I’m sure they’ll sort out your issue!

I can absolutely help you with that.
Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain languageconfidence.org it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using languageconfidence.org again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.
Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it, process the refund, and remove the upgrade from your account.
Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

Hi, thank you so much for responding. I no longer need the domain so please go ahead and process the cancellation and refund. Thanks!

I have canceled the domain and processed that refund for you. Please be aware that it can take up to 7-10 business days for refunds to show up on your statement.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
