refund processing time?

I temporarily signed up for wordpress.com premium and paid the $99 dollars for a 1year subscription. I then realized that I needed wordpress.org, not wordpress.com for what I wanted to do and asked a support agent via chat to cancel the subscription and she issued a refund. I can see a refund receipt in my wordpress.com admin page, but I don’t see a refund in my bank statement. My bank statement just shows a charge for $99 dollars. Does the refund take a while to show up, or did the refund not get successfully issued? Many thanks for the help, Andrew

From looking at your account I can see we issued a refund to you on 10-Jan-2017.
Does the refund take a while to show up
Refunds usually take about a week to process and show up on your statement. As it was issued 2 days ago, it could take a few more days to reach you.

Thanks for getting back to me! Now I know what to expect. I’ll let you know if there is still no refund to my bank account after week goes by.

I was charged today for $99 for a charge the I did not authorize. How do I get a refund and cancel my account.

I just used the chat box to get in touch with a support agent and they were able to help me. For the record, the refund came through to my bank account 5 days later or so.
