Refund query

    Hi,

    I had forgotten to disable the auto renewal option in my WordPress.com account and you r system has done auto renew of the hosting for one more year ($35). Now I don’t need the site as I have closed the business long ago. I have cancelled the subscription and requested refund. How much time does it take to process the request ?.

    Hi there!

    According to the Refundsrelevant support page:

    After processing, refunds usually take about ten days to appear on your statement. For credit card refunds, it could take up to 1-2 billing cycles for the refund to show up. International refunds can take even longer to reach you. Your financial institution is going to be able to tell you when to expect the refund and how it will be listed on your statement.

    stefbarz is right.

    Although note that when you are on a paid WordPress.com plan, you have the option to get in touch with the WordPress.com Happiness Engineers directly instead of asking this on WordPress.com community forums.

    You can do so by using the WordPress.com contact page. https://wordpress.com/help/contact/ For any paid WordPress.com plan you’re on, you can use this page to chat in live with a WordPress.com Happiness Engineer or send an email to a WordPress.com Happiness Engineer.

    I doubt this is possible now though, because you have canceled your WordPress.com subscription. If you see that a refund has been issued, it could take upto 2 billing cycles to show up on your account.

    Hi airfibertechnologies,

    I’ve double checked your account and it shows $35.88 was refunded to you on 24th November 2017. There is a copy of the refund receipt in your Billing History:

    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing

    Refunds usually take 7-14 business days to show on your statement so you can expect to receive the money around that time.
