    Hi mortgagesbycatherine

Purchases made on WordPress.com can be canceled and refunded during the refund period.

For new domain registrations, you must cancel within 48 hours of purchase to receive a refund. There are no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, after 48 hours.

For plans and all other purchases, you must cancel within 30 days of purchase to receive a refund. If you used the domain credit to register a new domain, the normal cost of registration will be deducted from your refund. If you mapped an existing domain, or never used a domain, you will receive a full refund. There are no refunds, pro-rated or otherwise, after 30 days.

The partial refund might be because of canceling the domain after 48 hours.

I am also tagging this post as ‘modlook’ for staff attention please wait for some time they will get back to you on this.

    Canceling domains
It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again.

In addition note that all sites with upgraded plans include access to live chat support. https://wordpress.com/help/contact At times when all operators are busy or unavailable, you’ll be able to get through to private email support.

  • Hi –

Do you have any plans to use mortgagesbycatherine.blog again in the future? Once that domain is cancelled it can be impossible to regain ownership of it. Write back to me here to confirm and I’ll get that cancelled and process the remainder of the refund.
