Hello,
I received an email notification from Paypal informing me that WordPress charged my account $30. All info is below. I do not use this wordpress design. Please cancel/refund. Thank you.

Domain name: http://alighternote.wordpress.com
Amount: $30.00
Date of charge: Nov 6, 2016 21:40:20 PST
Transaction ID: [redacted by staff]I’ve also attached a screenshot of the receipt Paypal sent me.
Please confirm receipt of this email, that I’ve been refunded, and that this domain will be terminated so that I don’t have to pay going forward.

Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

Please do not post transaction IDs in the public forums as that’s confidential information that can be used to gain access to an account.
alighternote.wordpress.com belongs to the username, alighternote. As you’ve provided a valid transaction ID I’ve cancelled the upgrade and refunded the renewal, but from our records you’ve been paying for a custom design upgrade on that site since 2012.
If you want to regain access to that account, you can use the same transaction ID on our account recovery form:
