Refund Request

Dear WordPress Support: On 10/21/11 I purchased the domain name http://www.Vikings2College.com with WordPress.com and immediately realized I had intended to use WordPress.org to create the site. I was wondering what your refund policy was for this considering the purchase was made so recently (3 hours ago approximately). I have sent this same message to support@wordpress.com but wanted to make sure I was taking the right steps to receive a refund. Please advise ASAP.

it’s 48 hours I think on domain names – should be a cancel option in your Dashboard >> store
BUT is can take several weeks for the domain name to revert back to the wild so you can register it again – and then someone else might grab it
You can just point the name servers to your new host using domain management and you can have your web site up today with no lines or waiting
