I requested a full refund within a few hours of upgrading to premium as I would like to go self-hosted using wordpress.org rather than using the business upgrade route I would need to customise my blog how I want it. However, I originally paid for the personal upgrade and then the premium upgrade but it has only refunded me the difference between the 2 upgrades but put me back onto the free plan. Rather than refunding me the full premium upgrade price and reverting me back to the free plan. Please help! Thank you

Not to worry.There are no pro-rated refunds so be clear on that. Refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ are time limited.
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 7 – 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.Do you intend to use the domain on another site?
Or do you wish to completely give up ownership of it?Re: cancelled domains
It is important to know that cancelled domains are not released by the registrar immediately. Also note that here’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use a domain again as it may be sold to someone else. Therefore you should cancel a domain, if and only if, you are sure you do not wish to use it again.Please clarify.

I had my own domain from a different website. But basically I require a refund from the personal upgrade I purchased but this option is not available for me on my purchases page. So I paid the price for the personal upgrade and then upgraded again to premium on the same day. On the purchases page it only says that it is going to refund me the £55 which was the upgrade to premium from personal but not the extra £30 I also paid for personal. I can see the receipt for the two separate transactions though but I can’t see an option to request the extra refund in purchases and my plan as already been degraded to the free plan so its not like I’m still using the personal upgrade. Hope that makes sense.

Not a problem! I have canceled your subscription for WordPress.com Personal and refunded the charges back to you. It can take between 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your bank statement.
