  I purchased a plan & then realized Id like to just try a free version to see if blogging was for me. Can you let me know why when I canceled my billing history only says a refund of $5.88 not the total amount I was charged?

  I’ve just refunded the remaining $30 and you can view a copy of the refund receipt in your Billing History:

  https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing

  Refunds usually take 7-14 business days to process and show up in your account.
