Reg: Mapping my website

  • Unknown's avatar

I have purchased a domain on GoDaddy. Now, I feel that the features are not up to mark and wish to shift to WordPress. However, since I just purchased, the transfer is not possible.
    My queries are as follows:
    1. They have given me a professional e-mail address. What happens to that?
    2. What does the INR 910 per year mapping fees represent?
    3. Can WordPress charge on a monthly basis? Or provide a trial period for the paid plan? Or any deal code?

    Hi there,

Since domain transfer is not possible for you, you can choose for domain mapping with WordPress.com.

Now you can read more about mapping your site here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

    To and your queries:
    1) If you already had an email for your domain through GoDaddy before mapping your domain at WordPress.com, you can connect that email hosting back to your account.
    for more details refer: https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/add-godaddy-email/

    2) Domain mapping comes with a plan for WordPress.com.
You can check out the plans and its pricing on the below page and select any plan to get started: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    3) There is no such provision of any trial period or deal code.
Also, there is no monthly subscription option for our Plans.
WordPress.com upgrade plans are only available as a yearly purchase and not monthly.
There is a 30-day refund. If you’re not in love we are happy to issue a refund within that time frame.
You can also upgrade between plans and only pay the difference in cost.
