Regarding a payment

Hello, WordPress has taken a payment from me of 70 Euro. Don’t understand why?

  • Hi there,

The account you’re using to post here is less than a year old, doesn’t own any sites, and has never bought anything from us. We don’t even have a credit card on file for you which we could have charged.

So if you’ve been charged, it’s for an upgrade that belongs to another WordPress.com account.

If you’re not sure what site the charge is for, please search for the charge at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/ – enter the transaction details on that form, and it will tell you if that charge exists on our end and what site it’s for.

You can also use the Contact Support link on that page to contact our billing support team directly for further help with this – to track down the transaction we’ll need to get some additional information from you which we cannot discuss here in the public forums.

  • Hi,

This is your reply from another thread:

“Thanks for getting back to me. I understand that the blog name I mentioned mytriangle.blog had different email address used. I don’t know which one which one and who used. But payment has gone through my Bank account. That’s why I have all the details. cnchg744pk- thats the reference shows to my bank account. I was charged for 70 euro. Please solve this ASAP. Is there any live chat in your system? Thanks”

I am copying it here to keep the conversation in one place.

  • I’m not seeing any upgrades associated with the WordPress.com user account you are posting from. This typically happens when you’ve ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and that second account is the one that owns the upgrade. You’ll need to log into THAT account in order to make any changes.

If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:

    Account recovery overview – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
    Lost password tool – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
    Account recovery form – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Finally, even if you do not have access to the correct account, if you have your payment information you can use our “Why was I charged?” tool. It was built for situations such as this:

    Why was I charged?

This may be your best path to resolution if you are unable to log into the correct account.

Let us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.
