Regarding billing

Hi, I just started making a site, and would like to use some plug-ins. That is not possible as I do not have a premium account. I would then like to upgrade to Business so that I would be able to use plugins. The system however tells me that I have to pay 299US to get business. Is there not a way to do monthly payments instead? So if I chosse not to continue for an entire year I do not have to pay.

Hi there, all WordPressdotcom upgrade plans are paid for the full year at checkout and are automatically renewed with the card on record unless you opt out.
If you decide to cancel, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a refund on everything but custom domain registration which needs to be cancelled within 48-hours of purchase. Here’s more about that:

That’s correct if you decide to set up your site here on WordPressdotcom with the Business plan. That is the only plan here which allows you to install most 3rd party plugins. Here’s more on the Business plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/business-plan/
You also have the option of setting up a site with a 3rd party web hosting service and installing the free WordPress open source software. Most other web hosting providers do have monthly payment plans, although paying yearly usually qualifies you for a discounted rate. (NAYY)
