regarding changing site url

    Hello,
    I wanted to change my wordpress site url but before I do that I wanted to know if the content on my current blog address would be no longer accessible or the content would remain?
    Do I have to redirect or use the export content function or I’ll get access to it without any problems?

    Please guide me on the guide part.

    Hello Seema,

    When you say you’re changing your WordPress site URL, are you referring to adding a custom domain to your account? If so, you’ll still login as normal and shouldn’t see any changes to the way you update your site pages or posts.

    There are 4 ways to add a custom domain to your blog. Since I’m not sure if you’ve purchased your domain or if you need to, I’ll point you in the direction that can give you more information based on your situation.

    If you want to change an address ending in wordpress.com to a different address ending in wordpress.com then the existing content in the first site will move to the new address. The old address will be deleted and unavailable in the future.
    If you wished to keep both addresses but have existing content show at the new address then you’d use the Export/import function.
