Regarding “Developed By” Below the site

  i am a software developer and i have developed a number of projects in wordpress.I have one question that is regarding “Developed By” below the site. when we complete a site in wordpress can we write “Developed By (company name)” or we can just write “Powered By (Company name)”?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  At wordpress.COM, you can hide that stuff in the theme with the CSS upgrade, but to add to it requires the use of pseudo CSS stuff, and that is not recognized by all browser and browser version (IE in particular) so it would be invisible to anyone using IE8 (I believe) and prior.

  If you are talking about a self-hosted wordpress site, then you are in the wrong forum and need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where they are supported. It is going to depend somewhat on the theme licensing. Not all themes are under full GPL licensing and some require that you leave their links in the footers.
