Regarding "en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/"
-
I was so hoping this link would be the answer for me,… but when I changed my blavatar, I can see the change everywhere else on the site EXCEPT for the URL address (and subsequently, when I hit share to Facebook… my old picture, which I’ve deleted everywhere else, shows up instead of the new blavatar) I am new to this and not sure I’m using all the terminology correctly, but why won’t the favicon in my URL change if gravatars, blavatars, etc… are all changed? It still shows an old picture I originally put up and hated. Now it’s following me everywhere, and nothing on the support page seems to indicate why. What am I missing?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

FYI, The picture next to my name is what I want to see next to my URL, but that’s not happening.

Actually, I think I just found my answer on another post… my apologies for not seeing it. Looks like I need to be patient and just wait for it to change. Thanks for your time.

There isn’t currently a way to pick out the image manually for a WordPress.com post unless you are using a theme that supports featured images. If a featured image isn’t set or your theme doesn’t use featured images, then the code tries to pick the first image in the post or page. If no image is found, then the blavatar is used, which is one reason you may have seen a logo in some cases. Try making sure the first image in the post or page is the one you want to see used. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-a-change-the-thumbnail-image-of-my-link-when-posting-to-facebook?replies=16#post-674533
