If you want to use a custom domain on the wordpress.com platform, you must upgrade to a paid plan. For most people the Starter Plan will do.
On the wordpress.com platform you don’t log in to a site but to the account owning a site. If you upgrade http://vikbizcouk.wordpress.com/ to the Starter Plan and set vikbiz.co.uk to be your primary address, you still log in to the wordpress account vicvik247

As an alternative, you can purchase the domain separately and point it at your WordPress URL. In this way, any traffic to the new URL will be redirected to your blog. Then all you need to do is use the new URL in any marketing materials for your site.
