hi! I made a free site and I am interested in upgrate
I wanted to ask you if I upgrade, what happens with the domain?
is it an extra cost?
also, if I have a site like ‘lina17.wordpress.com’ may I have a domain like ‘lina.com or should it be the same exactly?
and if yes, would it keep the same content?

If you have a paid plan, that comes with a free custom domain registration, and a custom domain doesn’t include “.wordpress.com” at the end.
In terms of the site contents, you don’t need to worry about anything. upgrading your plan and getting a custom domain never affect your site contents.

if the existing site is lina.wordpress.com
and the domain is mary.com
can it keep the content?
if the initial (before dot) is different?Even addresses before dot are different, the same site contents show up. For instance, l assume that you set “mary.com” as your custom domain. When you type “lina.wordpress.com” in a URL field of a browser, it redirects to “mary.com” automatically.
