Regarding Wholesale Blog Revisions

    Dear Support,

I was ‘messing’ around with templates, with on of them being Radshire, under the belief that I could either:

    A. Experienced a new layout of my already completed page
    B. Easily revert the change in template if I did not like it.

To which I got C. My webpage was essentially redone in terms of imagery, and I am unable to find a way to revert it, as the editing is among the least intuitive by design in my experience, coupled with an annoying simplistic, limited array of customization that has only impeded the most basic of changes.

I make an inquiry. How do I revert my blog back to an earlier rendition? How do I see the edits that I, as the sole proprietor and creator of this blog, should be able to see, and I question why templates are autopublished, and not merely ‘previews’.

The idea being that previews aren’t simple generic pictures, but how they incorporate the facets of previously implemented media into the template, not a complete makeover.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey peripheralpervertedvisionary,

Are you talking about the blog you have mentioned above?

Well, there is no way to automatically revert to your previous design. You have to re-do it using the Customize option given in the Customizer.

One thing to keep in mind, you can preview other themes in the Customizer before activating them on your site to see what your content looks like in a theme, and you can now save Drafts of changes to your site after changing themes by clicking the gear icon at the top and selecting Save Draft. Here’s our guide to the Customizer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ (although that support guide needs updating).

Let us know if you have any other question about this.
