  Hi

  Is it possible to get a domain name in a free webhosting site like 1500mb.com and use wordpress.org software to run the site?

  I am new to this domain server thing so I want to understand this for sure.

  it looks like they meet the minimum requirements

  but since it’s free it can’t hurt to try, right?

  but yes, that’s how wordpress.org works.
  you could try posting in
  http://wordpress.org/support
  with a topic like “1500mb.com”
  and asking if anyone’s used them for hosting.

  Yep and at least one of them is an evilllll SPAMMER (hello, hello, kitty vibrator – celexa.1500mb.com). Link not included for obvious reasons.

  if i were a girl, i’d totally buy a hello kitty vibrator. just for the cute factor.

  i mean, uh…

  actually celexa isn’t a wordpress blog. although it is probably the former home of one. most bargain-basement hosts will sell your domain after you vacate it.
