  I already have dadoyle.wordpress.com I am trying to REGISTER a new domain:

  dadoyle.com to remove ‘wordpress.”

  I fill in the required information and click on create but it takes me right back to the form to be completed.

  To add a domain to an existing WordPress.com blog, you should be entering dadoyle.com into the form at the top of the Store → Domains page inside the blog dashboard of the http://dadoyle.wordpress.com/ blog. Is that what you are doing?
