Register widget(?)…

  When my friends come to my site, a “register” tab pops out of the right side of the screen, prompting for user name and email address. I don’t think I put this there, but regardless, it is confusing because people think that is for signing up to follow my site. What’s its purpose? can I get rid of it so that potential followers can go straight to the Follow button? Thanks

  This follow button allows people to follow your site via a WordPress.com site. You wouldn’t be able to get rid of this without the Custom Design upgrade as it is a part of every WordPress.com site.

  If you want to add a Follow Blog widget you can do so in your sidebar. This will allow users to follow your site via email without having to create a WordPress.com account.
