  Cannot install it on WordPress.com (hosted @ GoDaddy). Message error is register_http_request_failed

  Can you please disable all plugins and try again?
  Let us know if that doesn’t help.

  Okay, can you try switching to a default theme temporarily? This would be either Twenty Ten or Twenty Eleven. That will let us know if a theme conflict is causing this problem.

  Could you also tell us if you’re connecting via HTTP or HTTPS?
