register.com email address

    Through Register.com, I bought my domain and a customized email to match my domain. (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    It has never worked, I can’t get to it from my site or anywhere else, and they’ve told me the following: There was a problem with the cname settings for that email. you would need to contact wordpress.com and have them enter these settings and it should be fully active.

    MX: mx07.register.com with a priority of 10
    CNAME webmail06.register.com

    Will this fix the problem?

    Hi Sharla,

    It should indeed! I went ahead and added those DNS settings to your domain and assuming they were given to you correctly and are all set up with register.com then your email should start working soon.

    There was one piece of information missing from what you gave me, and that was what you wanted to go to in order to access your webmail over at register.com. I went ahead and guessed and set up both webmail.sharlalovelace.com as well as email.sharlalovelace.com. Either of those SHOULD work, but if they don’t then you may want to ask register.com what CNAME we’re supposed to create and I can modify that record at any time.
