registered 1and1, but cant manage in wordpress

    I have registered a domain with 1and1.co.uk due to a deal with wordpress hosting combined in the package, which i thought was great. I have created my website and my blog that goes with it all on TripHacker.co.uk.
    i manage the blog using the trip hacker domain, although i cannot go direct to wordpress.com and log in, i have to go via the 1and1 site or the specific triphacker.co.uk/WP-admin or similar address.

    from what i can tell, i am unable to interact with any other wordpress accounts in the way that i am set up, so i cannot follow other blogs, leave comments etc to start engaging in this community.

    I have an old blog account (ZuluTravel) which i am using from wordpress direct to post this.
    can anyone advise how i can get everything managed accordingly? Do i need to get the triphacker.co.uk domain registered or joined via wordpress.com under the zulutravel account or another different account? it looks like this costs $18?

    Individual WordPress.org installations are separate from the WordPress.com service. But you can still connect our apps (including our web app) via Jetpack. Use these steps:

    You can still use a WordPress.com account for that. Let us know if you need more help!
