Registered Blog not linked to my account
-
I registered a new blog name – now it shows that it is registered, but not to my acct. How do I gain access to it?
-
Hello there,
I’ll flag this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting for them to respond. -
I do note that there is an empty free hosted WordPress.com blog linked to you username. http://lisarambles.wordpress.com/ Is it the blog in question or not? If it isn’t then please tell us what the blog you registered was

I would like to delete Lisa’sramblings – the one that I signed up for today is PreparingTheHeart – which now shows that it has been registered – but I received no email on it nor does it show up in my list.
Thanks so much for the quick responses and offers of help! What should I do next?

We strongly recommend that you mark the blog as “private“. When a blog is deleted at WordPress.com it’s gone forever and the URL cannot be recycled and reused by anyone.
-
When I go to the link you set up, it says that it is reserved – is there any way I can access it?
-
The blog is “reserved” for the person who has the matching username. If that’s you then log out of the lisaiowa username account – ie. log out of WordPress.com. Then log in with the correct username log-in information for that blog.
-
That is the problem – I thought I was logged in – I have no idea what email is associated with that acct. – I truly thought I put mine in twice.
-
When we create a username account here at WordPress.com the email address we provide becomes our unique identifier. http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
-
Yes – but is there any way to determine whether or not I mistyped my email address – I just registered this today – and I don’t know what went wrong.

You can contact Staff and they can help you tomorrow when the support link is reactivated. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

-
The staff work 24/7 even when the contact form is closed. This weekend they are working to upgrade several features and make WordPress.COM even better.
