Registered domain, blog not appearing

  I’m in the process of developing a personal site for my step-mother. I just registered the domain robertajwalker.com, but when I try to view the site that SHOULD be there, I get an error. What’s going on? Is it going to take a certain amount of time before anything shows up under that domain?

  Never mind, guess there was just some processing time or something. The blog is showing up now.

  This is not an instantaneous process and we have no control over when the various sites flush their DNS caches.

  When a new domain is purchased or when name servers are updated, it can take some time for the change to take full effect (up to 72 hours, but normally much less). http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain

  Has 72 hours passed since you purchased this domain and mapped it to the blog?
