Registered Domain paid for, still not working nearly 2 months later

    I registered and paid for a domain name through WordPress.com back in mid-June. I registered for the domain name http://veganpromyvr.com. It’s now the second week of August and the blog URL is still not redirecting to the registered domain name. I’ve double checked that I didn’t make a mistake in the spelling during registration and that I did actually get a confirmation of payment receipt.

    On the Domains page in the dashboard, the button giving me the option to update the primary domain has never appeared.

    It seems that this isn’t just a matter of waiting for the DNS changes to propagate as it’s been nearly two months since I paid for the domain name.

    Can someone let me know how I can resolve this issue as soon as possible?

    Hi. veganpromyvr.com does not appear to be registered.

    If you were still charged for that domain name, please contact staff at support@wordpress.com

    A whois search does not seem to show the registration as happening.

    There have been a few other cases of people going through the registration process, being charged but the name not being registered.

    You should be able to get your money back for the original registration but you will need to contact the staff. They are on a brainstorming session but this email will work and I will mark this for their attention as they do monitor the forums.

    You could probably try and register the name again and then have the staff sort out the charges later. But at any rate do contact the Staff, very helpful people.
