Registered Domain Won't Load
-
Hi all,
I just bought & registered a .com website and tried to choose a template, but I could not preview any templates (the connection time ran out after a few minutes). Then I went to my new webpage (mdegges.com) and the page did not load at all. I set it as my default webpage and had my other blog redirect to the .com.. but my other blog page does not load either. I followed the steps listed online to register my new domain, so is there another problem?
Thanks in advance for any help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You will have to contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

Did you follow the steps also to map your domain?
Did you read the part where it said it can take a few hours for things to work (24 to 72 to be a bit more specific)?
You may also have problems with local caching issues at your ISP also and you might be the last one to see your new site.

Oh, thanks aux. I didn’t complete the domain mapping part correctly / know that it would take that long.

Sorry- I did complete the domain mapping and tried to make the nameserver button private again, but it said I could only do that once my name-server request was processed.. I just tried a few minutes ago and was able to lock the features button. Does that mean it was processed?

Loads fine for me to a WordPress.COM blog – even left a comment on your about page

That’s so weird. I even tried going there on a different computer and got “Not Found. Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here. Perhaps you would like to try a search or select from one of the links on the menu.” And the same thing now happens when I try to preview a template.

…Or maybe that is my current page? o_o I am totally new to wordpress so I might just be misunderstanding something.

the “not found” is because you deleted the “hello World” default Post – make a new Post and it will look fine.
