Hello, I wish to return to the free option as I am still considering all options. I clicked on the $2.99 option and registered my details – can you please get me back to the step where I have more time to consider? My details remain the same, I just don’t want to go ahead with the $2.99 option at this stage. Thank you.

I am in the process of registering my blog site with WordPress. I have not yet paid or activated my account. I chose a plan but now I want to downgrade. I cannot downgrade, there is only an option to upgrade. I keep getting email reminders from WordPress to activate my account but I don’t want to activate my account with the plan I clicked on. If I delete my account I understand I won’t be able to claim it again with the same name?

The account you are logged in to doesn’t own any upgrades and reelauckland.wordpress.com is currently using the Free plan. If you purchase a plan and then decide you want to downgrade, we can help you with that. For now, you can remove the plan from your cart and take time to think about which one you need :)

Your account needs to be activated before you can start publishing content to your site — this can be done without committing to a paid plan. Have you received the confirmation email?

Yes, that’s correct! Once a site has been deleted, it won’t be possible to reuse the WordPress.com address. Only delete your site and account if you are sure you won’t need them again in the future.
