Registering a cancelled domain

  Hi,

  I recently registered the domain timsandeman.com with wordpress. Within 24 hours I realized that I needed to be hosting with someone else to do what I wanted, so I cancelled the domain and got a refund. I figured it would be an easier process that transferring it considering the website had practically nothing on it.

  My question is, will I be able to register this domain again? From what I’ve read it seems like I won’t be able to until it expires in a year, but I’m hoping someone can tell me what to do and who I need to talk to to get around this.
