Registering a deleted domain
-
Hello,
I registered weirdwavearchive.wordpress.com , but I deleted it a couple of days ago because I was trying to sign up under a separate account. Now I would like to re-claim this URL, but there’s no option for the .wordpress URL. The original URL has been deleted, so why can’t I use the same name again? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Deleted WordPress.com addresses cannot be re-used. This was explained in the warning message on the page where you had to confirm the deletion of the site, and we explain it here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
We can only restore a deleted site for 30 days to the same account that deleted it. I have now done that, and you’ll see that site again if you go to My Sites.
If you want to use that site with a different account, first create the new account, and then follow these instructions to transfer ownership of the site to the new account:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

Thank you, I can now access the restored [previously deleted] site. But does that mean it will be gone in 30 days, or has it been fully restored? At this point, do I need to take any further steps to insure the site stays up?

We can only restore a deleted site for 30 days. After that 30 days the site is gone completely and cannot be restored any more.
But as I have now restored your site it is no longer deleted, and the only thing that will cause the site to disappear is if you delete it again.
