Registering a local install blog

    I’ve been searching thru your FAQ’s, forum, and documentation, and can’t find the help I need. (Sorry if this is listed somewhere!)

    What I have done is create a local install of WordPress so I can do some testing and make recommendations in regard to it to others. (Do web development for a living!) I wanted to add some plug-ins to that install, starting with the STAT program. It wants my WordPress API, which I provided. Then it keeps saying I must register my blog with this site, but I’m not sure what I should put into that form as it is a local install. (URL would be: http://localhost/wordpress/ in other words!) Not a real domain in there. Can I do this for such an install, or is this not going to work?

    Just call me really new to WordPress, as I mostly work with Drupal.

    You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

    This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.
