Why won’t wordpress allow us to establish a new address (I.E. ______.wordpress.com) when trying to register a new blog on our account? Doesn’t it need its own address apart from the other blogs we have?

It should. Best bet would be to send in a feedback with the name of teh blog that you’re trying to register. There may be something incorrect with the name but I don’t want you to post it here so that someone else doesn’t grab it.

I’m having the same problem. The page for registering a new blog will not accept typing into the field for the domain name. I’ve tried it several times and in different browsers over the last few weeks.
Also, is there any way I can change the user name of my account wthout changing the email address? -

Best bet would eb to send in feedback on Monday. Specifics would help. Browsers have names and version numbers. Also please mention any security programs you are running as well as any errors that you see.
