registering a new domain

  the country names are not visible on the application and would not accept my registration

  By default wordpress.com only does .com, .org and I believe .net. For specific country domain names, they have to set a zone record for you. Email them at support@wordpress.com and give them the address of your site here you want to map it to and then give them the domain name you want to map.

  My domain name has what I picked plus this “dotcom.wordpres.com” on it. How do I get rid of the extra spelled out “dotcom” on there?

  I don’t see any transactions on your account, so it doesn’t look like you actually completed the domain registration.

  You can register the domain by adding it via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.
