Registering a new domain

  Hi there,
  i wish to register a .tk domain for my wp.com blog at dot.tk .
  I’m i to forward the name.tk domain to my name.wp.com; or use DNS?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Do you already own the domain? What is the complete URL? If you did purchase it already then Staff will have to enter a zone record for you after you purchase an upgrade.

  WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers. You can, however, map an existing domain.

  In order to remove the .wordpress.com URL and replace that with a domain URL you have to purchase an upgrade. See https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  If you already own the .tk domain then you’d want to setup domain mapping to use it here at WordPress.com.

  Perfect! You’re going to need to add the WordPress.com Personal Plan to your account and then setup the Domain Mapping.

  I think since i’ve own a domain name, i need not to purchase wp.com plan again.

  New WordPress.com account require a WordPress.com Plan in order to register a custom domain or map an existing domain to their account.

  In order to map your .tk domain to your WordPress.com account you’ll need to upgrade your plan from the free plan.

  The most affordable option is our WordPress.com Personal Plan. Here is a side by side comparison of the plans:

  After adding the plan of your choice to the account you can proceed with these instructions to map the domain.
