registering followers

Some people are having trouble requesting to be followers. It looks like they have registered but they do not get the emails. when they try to reregister – wordpress says they are already followers ????

Are these people trying to follow via email only, i.e. they don’t have WordPress.com username accounts?
Can you please list the email addresses of the people not receiving the emails so we can check? Please list each email on its own line, and they’ll be hidden automatically so only staff can see them.

Howdy –
I’ve had a look and I do not see either of those email addresses listed as followers on the site.
When someone chooses to follow by email they then will get an email verification where they need to confirm that subscription. My guess is that this step was missed.
Can you pass that along to them? Or, ask them to post here. Thanks.

there may be some confusion as I have 2 sites – it is cleckheatonu3a.com for which they tried to register.
They both think they registered but they are not on my list of followers

thought she had registered – when she tried to register again the system gave her a message that she had already used that email address – and cannot get any further.
Tony from

told me he had become a follower – but he has not appeared on my list. -
