Registering for Custom Domain – Will I loose my followers

  I am thinking of registering a custom domain. Switching from laurelbeard.wordpress.com to laurelkbeard.com. My question is this: I have lots of followers via google reader, Feed Burner and subscription services offered by WordPress. Will I loose all my followers if I make the switch? Most of my followers come from Google Reader I believe. Can anyone please help me?

  No, you won’t. What happens is all the old RSS feeds, etc keep working but you have an additional set of URLs eg Whatever.com/feed

  Thanks for the response. Will they have to subscribe to my new blog URL in Google Reader in order to be updated with posts from the new site then?
